Relationships
I keep thinking about relationships many a times. In the current age, do we still have any meaning attached to this word at all? Well, talking about me, I spend most of my day at office or locked inside my house watching tv or reading novel. I do have a great time with friends and room mates. But, what is a real relationship? Isn't it something where there is some one whom you take care of and there is someone who takes care of you. Modern life has become too materialistic for these silly feelings.
Back in the older generations, there was the structure of the family and we had family members to take care. But, now, the whole system of family has broken down. A dad does not relate to his son and his life and it's the same other way too. That leaves people alone to fight their own battle when they go through a bad time. Hope something miraculous happens and we re-discover the essense of relationships.

I am surprised you have this view while u r reading an Ayn Rand book. May be you should read 'Atlas Shrugged' too... Anyway, I think relationships should be less of 'taking care of', less of a 'dependency due to inability'. I have come to hate the concept of 'being taken care of'. Pretty much want to fight all my battles on my own. (These thoughts are highly influenced by Atlas Shrugged as u wud have guessed). But having said that I can't forget the day when I had 7 friends sitting around me and trying to help me when I was in 'deep shit' ;)
